Biography

Finnish-British artist Alex Gough (b. 1981) studied at Chelsea College of Art (2002) before going on to receive a BA (Hons) in painting at Camberwell College of Art (2005) and a MA in Fine Art at City and Guilds of London Art School (2011).  He is  based in his home city of London.

Gough began exhibiting his work while still completing his studies and he has been featured in several shows per year since 2005,.  His work has been exhibited throughout London and Europe, and his paintings can be found in many public and private collections, including those of Simmons and Simmons, The University of the Arts London, City Financial, Barclays, and Lloyds TSB.  In 2007 Gough was the resident artist at RHS Chelsea Flower Show with Lloyds TSB Private Banking. Following this he became resident artist at The Centre for Recent Drawing, London (2009 – 2011), and he is currently the resident artist at Block 336.
